New ThinkBook with Expandable Screen from Lenovo

New ThinkBook with Expandable Screen from Lenovo

Lenovo is working on a new ThinkBook model with a side-expandable screen, codenamed Project Swan. Here are the details of the flexible screen device.

Lenovo continues to transform screen technologies in the laptop world. Following the expandable-screen gaming laptop it introduced last year, the company is now working on a similar technology for its ThinkBook series.

According to information shared by Windows Latest, this new product, developed internally under the codename Project Swan, uses flexible OLED screen technology. Users can expand the screen sideways in seconds with a single button press, creating a larger workspace.

Expanded workspace with Project Swan

The new ThinkBook model stands out with its very thin body design. Although there are somewhat thick bezels around the screen, the overall aesthetic of the device exhibits a contemporary look.

With this new prototype, Lenovo is taking its vision of changing screen according to you to need in portable computers one step further. No official details have yet been shared about the device’s technical specifications, and it remains unclear whether it will be commercially available.

Lenovo’s expandable screen vision

The company has previously released laptop models with vertically expandable screens. Lenovo aims to make these flexible screen formats a new standard in the industry.

This ThinkBook, currently in development, aims to increase productivity by increasing screen space, especially for professional users. Whether the device will move beyond the current prototype stage is eagerly awaited in the technology world.
