Opel introduced the new 278 horsepower fully electric Corsa GSE model. Here are all the technical details about the brand’s fastest Corsa.
In the automobile world, internal combustion hot hatch models are gradually being replaced by electric performance vehicles. Opel is also participating in this transformation with the fully electric version of the iconic Corsa model.
The German manufacturer is taking an assertive step in the electric hot hatch segment with the new Corsa GSE. This new model is the most powerful and fastest Corsa the brand has ever produced.
278 Horsepower Electric Performance
Although the new Opel Corsa GSE is similar to the Peugeot E-208 GTi in terms of technical infrastructure, it makes a difference with Opel’s special engineering touches. The car, which has a front-wheel drive structure, produces 278 horsepower and 345 Nm of torque.
Thanks to these high performance values, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. The model, whose maximum speed is limited to 180 km/h, significantly raises the performance bar of the series.

Opel engineers are making extensive technical improvements to the vehicle to improve the driving experience. The model features a Torsen limited-slip differential and a stiffer, lowered sports suspension system.
The car also features a specially tuned steering system and improved gas and brake responses to support driving dynamics. The performance-oriented stance is supported by four-piston Alcon brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
Battery, Design and Interior
Corsa GSE hits the road with a lithium-ion battery pack with a net capacity of 51 kWh. Although official range data has not been announced yet, the vehicle is expected to be quite assertive in terms of efficiency.

Sporty details such as a more aggressive body kit, black roof and wide fenders stand out in the exterior design. In the interior, sports seats that support the driver, yellow seat belts and Alcantara coverings attract attention.
The cockpit, completed with details such as aluminum pedals, continues the sporty identity of the vehicle inside. How do you like this new electric performance model from Opel?
