Huawei introduced its new FreeClip 2 S headphones and the MatePad Air (2026) tablet with PaperMatte OLED screen. Here are the features and prices of the new devices.
At the big event held in Malaysia, Huawei officially announced the Pura 90s smartphone series, as well as the highly anticipated Huawei FreeClip 2 S Signature Edition headphones and the updated MatePad Air (2026) tablet model in the technology world. The renewed product range is presented to the user with design-oriented touches as well as hardware improvements.
Huawei FreeClip 2 S, which stood out at the event, draws attention with its artificial intelligence-supported voice processing capabilities, while MatePad Air (2026) manages to attract attention with its PaperMatte OLED screen technology from the upper segment. The new devices reflect Huawei’s current vision in hardware and software integration.
Sound Experience is Renewed with FreeClip 2 S
While FreeClip 2 S maintains the successful dual-diaphragm driver architecture of the previous generation, it is equipped with a new generation NPU-based audio chip. This hardware change enables the “Adaptive Volume” algorithm that optimizes sound quality, especially in noisy environments. Headphones can instantly detect environmental sounds and automatically adjust the volume. Offering 9 hours of uninterrupted playback time, the device allows up to 38 hours of use with the charging box.
The new generation FreeClip 2 S offers an aesthetic appearance with Deepsea Blue and Space Silver color options.
In terms of design, Huawei collaborated with French jewelery house Les Néréides to make the headphones customizable.
Thanks to these special clip accessories, headphones turn into a fashion accessory rather than just an audio device.
The new charging box design has been specially expanded to allow these accessories to be carried comfortably.
MatePad Air (2026) Increases Performance
MatePad Air (2026) makes a significant leap forward, especially in terms of screen technology. The 12-inch PaperMatte OLED panel, used for the first time in the series, provides an ideal basis for both reading and professional work with its anti-reflective matte texture. The device takes the visual experience to the next level with its 2800 x 1840 pixel resolution and 144Hz screen refresh rate.
The Kirin T93C chipset enables the device to fulfill its artificial intelligence-supported productivity missions without any problems.
While the device increases portability with its 5.3 mm thin profile, it adopts a contemporary design language with Airy Blue, Sakura Pink and White color options.
The powerful battery with a capacity of 10,100 mAh is supported by 66W fast charging support. Huawei aims to address different user needs with its pricing starting from 849 Euros.
