Nothing continues to reinforce its claim to be different in the technology world with its design language. Nothing Ear (open), the company’s first open-ear headset introduced in September 2024, has been available to technology enthusiasts with only a white color option since the day it was released.

However, this situation is changing. With a post on its social media accounts, Nothing announced that it will officially introduce the new blue color option of the Ear (open) model on May 11, 2026. This move stands out as part of the brand’s strategy to increase the color diversity in its product range and offer more personalization opportunities to its users.

Design and Aesthetics: Why Blue?

Since its establishment, Nothing has maintained its transparent design philosophy and prefers to display the inner world of its devices like a work of art. The white version of the Ear (open) model offered a very futuristic look with transparent plastic parts and silver details. In the newly leaked and shared images, it appears that the blue color will appear not only on the body, but also on the ear hook sections and case details.

The color blue is not actually a foreign choice for the Nothing ecosystem. The company had previously received great acclaim by using blue tones in a special version of the Phone (2a) model and limited edition accessories. The use of this tone in the Ear (open) model shows that the brand wants to expand its color palette. The open ear design, especially preferred by athletes and daily users, becomes much more eye-catching with this new color.

Technical Specifications and Ergonomics

Headphones with an open-ear design require a much different ergonomics than traditional in-ear models. While the headphones offer up to 8 hours of uninterrupted music experience on a single charge, this time goes up to 30 hours in total with the charging box. Thanks to the fast charging feature, 2 hours of listening time can be achieved with just 10 minutes of charging. In addition, its IP54 certification makes it resistant to splashes and dust, making the device a safe haven for athletes.

Price and Accessibility

Nothing Ear (open) was released with a price tag of $149 when it was first introduced. However, with the advancement of technology and new models on the way, Nothing has reduced this price to $ 99 on the US website. The blue model, which will be introduced tomorrow, is expected to go on sale at this discounted price or at an advantageous price special for the launch.

Considering Nothing’s activity in the Turkish market, it seems likely that the blue Ear (open) model will take its place on the shelves in our country immediately after the global launch.
