The latest report published by nPerf reveals that Turkey ranks first among countries with similar income levels in terms of mobile internet upload speed. This data, covering the period from January 1, 2026 to July 1, 2026, is based on speed tests conducted by users. The company had previously conducted a study comparing countries with similar land areas. Now, it has focused on the performance of countries with a gross domestic product ranging from $9,001 to $18,000.

Internet Performance by Income Group

Turkey managed to top the list among countries in this income group with a mobile upload speed of 21.4 Mbps. This data clearly reveals the new state of Türkiye’s digital infrastructure.

Kazakhstan follows Türkiye with 15.1 Mbps, while Chile is in third place with 14.3 Mbps. Further down the list are Brazil with 14.0 Mbps, Argentina with 9.2 Mbps, and Mexico with 8.7 Mbps.

Upload speed plays a critical role in the process of sending data to the internet. In Türkiye, uploading a 1 GB document to the internet via portable devices takes less than 6 minutes.

For the same document size, it takes approximately 14 minutes in Argentina and approximately 16 minutes in Mexico. This difference concretely demonstrates the efficiency of Turkey’s portable internet infrastructure in terms of upload speed.

This report published by nPerf does not contain any data on download speeds. The organization only shared the upload performance of the top five countries with the public.

Second Place in Land Area Comparison

France-based nPerf had previously compared mobile download speeds of countries with similar land areas. According to test results between January 1, 2026 and July 1, 2026, Turkey ranks second with a download speed of 127.5 Mbps.

France tops the list with a download speed of 131.5 Mbps, while Saudi Arabia is in third place with a speed of 107.7 Mbps. These results show that Türkiye is in a competitive position globally in terms of download speeds.

Mobile internet technologies have become an indispensable part of daily life. High speeds are of great importance, especially for content creators and users who transfer large files.

Türkiye’s performance in this area reflects the results of its infrastructure investments. These speed values experienced by users directly affect the quality of service offered by operators.

Increasing internet speed during the digitalization process also supports economic activities. Especially mobile work requires faster information flow.

Türkiye’s success in this list can be considered a positive indicator in terms of the development of technological infrastructure. These speeds are expected to increase even further in the coming period.
