Make Your Bike Electric: Asus Announces Conversion Kit

Make Your Bike Electric: Asus Announces Conversion Kit

Asus has introduced the new Oxiis E250G1 kit that electrifies bicycles. The 500W system will be available to users in 2026.

Asus, a well-known name in the computer and hardware world, is expanding its product range and taking a new step in the field of transportation. The company has announced its new solution, the Oxiis E250G1 Intelligent Bike Booster, which aims to convert standard bicycles into electric models.

This new device offers a practical alternative for users who do not want to replace their existing bicycle. The system is mounted on the seatpost of the bicycle and provides direct power transfer to the rear wheel.

Practical mounting and intelligent riding support

The Oxiis E250G1 transmits motor power to the road by contacting the bicycle tire via the wheel at the rear. In this way, users can switch to an electric riding experience without having to completely replace their bicycles.

Asus states that the system can detect the road’s incline to create a more natural driving experience. The included wireless sensor measures pedal cadence, allowing the motor to react more quickly to the driver’s movements.

The system has a capacity to produce 250 watts of constant power and 500 watts of peak power. Depending on regional regulations, motor support extends up to 25 km/h or 32 km/h.

Technical specifications and design details

The device is equipped with a 158.4 Wh battery and can be charged via USB-C with up to 100 watts of power. The fact that the battery can be easily replaced when it reaches the end of its lifespan is a valuable advantage for long-term use.

Offering a range of up to 50 kilometers in Eco mode, the system allows three different boost levels via a smartphone app. This compact device, weighing a total of 3.7 kilograms, is resistant to rain and splashes thanks to its IPX4 certification.

The Asus Oxiis E250G1 Intelligent Bike Booster is expected to be released in 2026. The company has not yet shared details regarding the exact release date and pricing. Would you be interested in converting your current bike into an electric model?
