Apple continues to work on MacBook Neo 2, the second generation of its affordable laptop series. According to the information shared by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new model will include important performance-oriented hardware updates.

The company uses the A19 Pro chip in the testing processes of the device. This new processor is expected to offer a 10 to 15 percent increase in processor performance and up to a 40 percent increase in graphics performance compared to the A18 Pro in the current model.

Hardware and Performance Improvements

The A19 Pro chip, which will be included in the laptop version of the MacBook Neo 2, is planned to come with a 5-core GPU to balance power consumption and battery life. The 8GB RAM capacity used in the current model is increased to 12GB in the new generation device.

This memory increase aims to support the processing power required especially for Apple Intelligence features running on the device. Thanks to the increased RAM capacity, multi-tasking and lightweight creative workflows will provide a smoother experience.

Design and Release Date

Apple does not plan to make any major design changes in the MacBook Neo 2 model. While the device maintains its existing compact and lightweight body structure, new color options will continue to be offered to users.

It is expected that new alternatives will be added to the current silver, blush, citrus and indigo color palette in the future. This device, which does not compete directly with the MacBook Pro series, is positioned as an affordable option for students and daily professional users.
