New details continue to emerge about Apple’s first foldable phone, the iPhone Ultra, which is expected to be released later this year. Ice Universe, known for its leaks, claimed that the device will have a white color option with an image he shared on Weibo.

Although the shared image is thought to be a dummy model, the white color of the device is considered the only confirmed option in the world of leaks. Another leak source, Instant Digital, states that white is the first choice for the device.

Limited Color Options and Production Strategy

It is not yet clear what the second color option will be for the foldable iPhone Ultra. According to the information shared by Macworld, the second option may be an indigo tone similar to the Deep Blue color in the iPhone 17 Pro series.

It is stated that Apple will avoid vibrant colors in this new device and focus on more classic tones. Mark Gurman states that the company will choose classic options such as space grey, black, silver and white. This approach is reminiscent of the iPhone X model, which was released in November 2017 only in silver and space gray options.

The limited color options may be due to the device’s low production volume and manufacturing difficulties. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo emphasizes that difficulties in production processes may restrict supply until the end of 2026. Offering multiple color options could further increase the costs and technical difficulties of a device that is actually quite complex to manufacture.

High Price and Technical Prospects

iPhone Ultra is expected to be available with a price tag of over $ 2,000. For a device at this price point, color options are not expected to be a determining factor in the purchasing decision.

The device is planned to be introduced in September this year, along with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models. Leaks also suggest that the internal design of the device has been developed with an engineering logic that will facilitate repair.
