Apple’s eagerly awaited new foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, has been announced to tech enthusiasts with its price in Turkey. Introduced at the September 9th event, the device stands out as the brand’s first representative in the foldable phone market.

Foldable Design and Hardware

The iPhone Duo features a special foldable design that opens like a book. When fully opened, the device greets users with a large 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR display.

Titanium material is preferred for the device’s body, while the hinge system consists of more than 100 precision cuts. This complex structure ensures the screen remains perfectly flat when unfolded.

Ceramic Shield 2 is used on the front and Ceramic Shield protection on the back. The device also has an IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.

Powered by the A20 Pro processor, the phone is supported by a vapor chamber cooling system for long-term high performance. In terms of contact technologies, the new C2 modem offers 50% faster performance compared to the C1X modem.

On the software side, there is an iOS interface specifically optimized for the foldable form factor. Users can run two applications simultaneously or save frequently used application pairs.

Camera and Battery Performance

The camera system features a 48-megapixel Fusion main camera and a 48-megapixel Fusion Ultra Wide lens. The outer screen features a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera.

Smart Take can automatically take photos without a timer by detecting when individuals in the scene are ready. Thanks to the flexibility provided by the foldable design, 4K Dolby Vision HDR time-lapse shots can be taken without a tripod.

Although there are separate batteries in the two halves of the phone, the iOS system manages them as a single unit. Apple promises up to 24 hours of battery life in scenarios where both screens are used with similar intensity.

Thanks to fast charging support, the device can reach 50% charge in approximately 20 minutes. With just five minutes of charging, up to five hours of video playback is possible on the outer screen.
