iPhone 20 Coming with Curved Glass Design

iPhone 20 Coming with Curved Glass Design

Apple’s 20th-anniversary iPhone 20 model features a curved glass design using iPhone Air manufacturing technology. Here are the features and expectations for the new generation iPhone.

According to information shared by the leak source “Fixed Focus Digital,” the iPhone 20 model, prepared by Apple for its 20th anniversary, will utilize special glass manufacturing processes developed for the iPhone Air series, known for its slim design.

According to a new statement on Weibo, the equipment used in the production of the iPhone Air has been modified to produce the more curved glass components of the iPhone 20, which will be released next year. This strategic production change is reported to reduce Apple’s overall production costs while also providing significant improvements in the device’s physical characteristics, such as heat dissipation and thinness.

  • The iPhone 20 model uses customized glass processing equipment developed for the iPhone Air.
  • Thanks to the new production technique, the total production costs of the device are reduced.
  • With the integration of the curved design, the device’s heat management and thinness levels are significantly improved.
  • According to Bloomberg reports, Apple is aiming for a curved model with no notches on the screen and made entirely of glass for its 20th anniversary.

Production Processes Increase Efficiency

Information from industry sources indicates that supply chain facilities have completed the necessary upgrades before iPhone 20 production.

The resulting production quality is expected to be on par with the first-generation iPhone Air, which, with its 5.6 millimeter thickness, holds the title of Apple’s thinnest phone. This production technology, known for its combination of a thin titanium frame and glass back, aims to maintain the durability and aesthetic stability of the new generation devices.

Apple is preparing to offer a revolutionary curved screen experience in smartphone design with its 20th-anniversary device.

Future Plans and Launch Expectations

Names closely followed in the technology world, such as Mark Gurman, have made statements confirming Apple’s long-awaited “notchless and fully curved” design vision. This special model is planned to have a curved glass structure that surrounds all four sides of the device. It is stated that the design will not contain any screen cutouts that would disrupt aesthetic integrity.

The iPhone 20 model is expected to be released in the fall of 2027. Until then, Apple is expected to maintain its market position with intermediate models such as the iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and iPhone Air 2 during the spring months. The 20th-anniversary device is seen as the culmination of the company’s long-term goals in hardware design.

Curved glass technology may become a standard design language in Apple’s future devices.
