Huawei Mate XT 2 Patent Shows New Design

Huawei Mate XT 2 Patent Shows New Design

The new patent for the Huawei Mate XT 2 draws attention with its folding design and powerful Kirin 9050 Pro processor. Here are the details.

Huawei has accelerated its work on the Mate XT 2 model in order to reinforce its leadership in the foldable smartphone market. Following the leaks that emerged in April, a new patent application revealed that major changes would be made to the device’s design and hinge mechanism.

Patent images shared by Ice Universe indicate that the Huawei Mate XT 2 model may abandon its current Z-type folding structure and switch to a more innovative mechanism that folds inwards. This new smartphone, which is expected to be released in October, has become a matter of great curiosity in the technology world with both its design language and hardware features.

  • Huawei Mate XT 2, unlike its predecessors, is designed with an inward folding mechanism.
  • It is stated that the device will be powered by the Kirin 9050 Pro chipset and offer a battery capacity of over 6,000 mAh.
  • The new patent confirms that the device will have a cover screen located on the right panel.

Patent Images Reveal the New Design

When the new patent images are examined, it is seen that the folding logic of the device is reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold model, but has some differences specific to Huawei.
Instead of the Z-shaped folding system used in previous models, this new design envisages the left panel being folded inwards and then the right panel completing this process. This aims to optimize the screen durability while increasing the ease of use of the device.

Huawei is preparing to completely change the design approach in foldable screen technology.

Hardware Features Will Increase Performance

On the technical features side, Huawei Mate XT 2 is equipped with high performance-oriented components.
According to leaked information, the device will be powered by the Kirin 9050 Pro chipset. This powerful processor is optimized to meet all the needs of the high-resolution flexible display. In addition, the battery unit with a capacity of more than 6,000 mAh will provide the necessary energy for long-term use of the device.

On the camera setup side, an improved version of the successful triple rear camera module used in the Huawei Mate X7 series is expected to be used.
The circular camera module positioned on the middle panel of the device promises an optical structure that offers an aesthetic appearance and does not compromise on photo quality. This new breakthrough by Huawei aims to prove that foldable phones are not just prototypes, but full-fledged flagship devices.

What do you think of Huawei’s innovative foldable design? Do you think the inward folding mechanism will be more practical in daily use, or was the Z type design more useful? Don’t forget to share your opinions with us in the comments section.
