Huawei will introduce its new MatePad Air tablet and FreeClip 2 S wireless headset with 38 hours of battery life at its global launch on July 14.
Huawei continues to share new surprises that excite the technology world, just a few days before the global launch of its highly anticipated flagship Pura 90s series.
It was already known that Pura 90s Pro and 90s Pro Max models would take the stage at the giant event to be held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia, on July 14. However, the latest promotional images published by the company reveal that this activity will not be limited to smartphones only.
Huawei is preparing to launch its new generation MatePad Air tablet and the FreeClip 2 S wireless headset model, which attracted great attention in the Chinese market, to the global market on the same stage.
July 14 Event Raises Expectations
The Pura 90s series, which draws attention with its portable photography capabilities in the smartphone market, is among Huawei’s biggest trump cards this year. However, with this launch, the company proves once again how much it values not only smartphones but also its entire ecosystem.
At the event in Kuala Lumpur, where Pura 90s Pro and Pro Max models will make their show, tablet and wearable audio technologies that enrich the user experience also play a major role.
New Generation Huawei MatePad Air: What Has Changed in Design?
According to the promotional images shared by Huawei, the new MatePad Air model contains important updates in terms of design. The most striking change is the new pill-shaped camera module on the back of the device.
The tablet, which comes in many dynamic and contemporary color options such as pink, white and blue, promises much more than just a media consumption device.
The magnetic keyboard case and stylus pen displayed with the device in the images show that the new MatePad Air is quite an argument in terms of portable productivity.
Although it is currently a mystery what revolutionary hardware upgrades the device’s technical features will include compared to the 2025 version, it is certain that it will offer a smooth screen with a high refresh rate and an advanced HarmonyOS operating system experience.
The Peak in Open Headphone Design: Huawei FreeClip 2 S
Another surprise of the launch is on the wearable audio technologies side. Wireless headphones, which were previously introduced in the Chinese market under the name “FreeClip 2 Collector’s Edition”, are entering the global market under the name “FreeClip 2 S”. The biggest difference compared to the standard model is the completely renewed dome-shaped charging box and eye-catching new color options.
When we go into hardware details, FreeClip 2 S offers users a high-level experience in sound quality and comfort. Designed in open-ear form, the device does not cause any discomfort even during long-term use with its lightweight structure of only 5.1 grams.

The 10.8 mm dual-diaphragm driver in each earphone produces deep bass and crystal clear highs.
Supporting Bluetooth 6.0 technology, the device is resistant to water and dust with IP57 certification and provides a tremendous battery life of 9 hours on a single charge, and up to 38 hours in total with the renewed charging box.
Breath was held for Huawei’s July 14 event, which is expected to turn into a technology show. All details, such as the pricing of the new Pura 90s series and when these new ecosystem devices will enter the Turkish market, are expected to become official next week.
