Huawei Cloud Stands Out with Container and AI Infrastructure

Huawei Cloud Stands Out with Container and AI Infrastructure

Huawei Cloud, highlighted in the Gartner report, is raising the bar in AI with its Agentic Infra approach and CCE infrastructure capable of managing 100,000 GPUs/NPUs.

Gartner’s latest global cloud valuation report reveals the industry’s new roadmap, from contemporary cloud-based applications to hybrid scenarios. The report highlights the migration of existing systems to container architectures and the management of edge computing and AI workloads as critical topics. Huawei Cloud, with its container solutions spanning general, hybrid, distributed, and edge computing, is positioned at the heart of digital transformation in key sectors such as finance, manufacturing, transportation, and the internet.

A New Era in AI: “Agentic Infra” Architecture

The rapid proliferation of large language models and AI spyware is putting classic cloud architectures through a significant capacity test. To overcome this bottleneck, Huawei Cloud is implementing the Agentic Infra approach, considered a first in the sector. This new vision brings together the immense processing power, resource allocation, and operational working environments required by AI systems under a single umbrella.

At the heart of this architecture is the Cloud Container Engine (CCE) solution, which pools over 100,000 GPU and NPU resources. This allows organizations to manage distributed hardware resources from a single center, minimizing hardware bottlenecks encountered during the training and inference processes of large models.

Productivity Increase: CCE VolcanoNext and AgentSphere

Resource optimization is of great value in terms of the continuity and cost control of AI workloads. Key components of the infrastructure directly boost operational efficiency:

  • CCE VolcanoNext: Increases system-wide hardware utilization efficiency by over 30% by distributing workloads across different types using intelligent algorithms.
  • AgentSphere: Enables AI spies to operate reliably, in isolation, and at high speed. By activating in milliseconds, it allows large-scale and simultaneous spy-based applications to run without delay.

Strong Contribution to the Open Source Ecosystem

Huawei Cloud supports the global cloud-native community with open source projects, in addition to its enterprise-level solutions. The company plays an active role in the growth of the ecosystem by leading projects such as the resource planning tool Volcano, the edge computing platform KubeEdge, and the multi-cloud management system Karmada. This open-source strategy lays the groundwork for developers to scale AI applications in a flexible and secure form without being locked into a random provider.

Gartner’s assessment clearly shows that competition in the cloud market has shifted from simply providing raw server capacity to AI-specific container orchestration and intelligent resource management.
