Honor Robot Phone Camera Interface Comes with ARRI Master Cinema

The Honor Robot Phone camera interface was displayed with the joystick feature that offers ARRI Master Cinema mode and gimbal control. Technical details of the new generation smartphone.

Honor officially shared the camera interface of its highly anticipated new smartphone, the Honor Robot Phone. The device, which is planned to be released in August and the pre-order process has started in China, draws attention especially with its professional-level imaging capabilities.

The joystick control within the Honor Robot Phone camera interface and the Master Cinema mode developed in collaboration with ARRI herald a new era in portable photography. Equipped with advanced gimbal technology, the device aims to offer users a professional shooting experience by combining hardware capabilities with software innovations.

  • The Honor Robot Phone device will have the Master Cinema mode, developed in partnership with ARRI and offering 10-bit HDR support.
  • The joystick control added to the camera interface will allow precise steering of the device’s internal gimbal system.
  • The system will be equipped with a 200MP main camera and 4D gimbal stabilization support.
  • The device is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

Master Cinema Mode Offers Professional Shooting Quality

The newly shared images reveal the Master Cinema mode, which is the fruit of Honor’s collaboration with ARRI. This mode allows shooting 10-bit HDR images, especially with high dynamic range. Users will be able to obtain images close to professional cinema standards, with more visible shadow and color details.

The new ARRI-based camera system revolutionizes portable image production standards.

Another notable innovation in the interface is the joystick-like control tool that replaces the classic shutter button. This interface element allows the user to track objects or dynamically shift the focus point during shooting by controlling the internal gimbal mechanism.

Advanced Camera Hardware Provides Stabilization

The technical infrastructure of Honor Robot Phone is equipped with very impressive features. At the center of the system is a 23mm 200MP main camera with f / 1.6 aperture.

In addition to this main lens, the device also includes a 50MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 200MP periscope telephoto unit. The most striking module of the hardware stands out as the 4D gimbal stabilization system that can track 360 degrees of rotation.

The 96% walking shake compensation offered by the device makes portable images smooth.

The device promises CIPA 5.5 level image stabilization performance. In addition, its 1.5K resolution screen ranging from 6.3 to 6.4 inches and ultra-thin frames show that the device will offer a premium experience in terms of both design and screen performance. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset will provide the processing power to easily manage these intensive camera processes and high-resolution data processing processes.
