Samsung launched the One UI 9 Beta program for the Galaxy S26 series. We examined all Galaxy models that will receive the new update based on Android 17 and their prominent features.
The new update not only offers a visual change; It also extends artificial intelligence integration to every layer of the system. With its creative studio tools, renewed fast panel design and advanced firewall, One UI 9 takes the user experience to a whole new dimension. The list of supported devices within the scope of Samsung’s update promise seems to be very pleasing to the brand’s loyal user base.
One UI 9 Beta process started in selected markets, especially Germany, South Korea and the USA, for the Galaxy S26, S26 + and S26 Ultra models.
The new version based on Android 17 will be pre-installed as a full version with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 models in July 2026.
The Galaxy S23 series will be one step closer to retirement by receiving the fourth and final major Android operating system upgrade with this update.
New Quick Panel and Creative Tools
One of the most striking innovations with One UI 9 is the fully customizable Quick Panel. Users can now adjust the brightness, volume and media player sliders to their desired size and arrange their placement according to their personal preferences.
On the Samsung Notes side, a new feature called “Tape” attracts attention; Thanks to this feature, certain parts of the notes can be hidden by taping and opened when desired. In addition, Creative Studio, integrated into the contacts application, allows you to create professional-looking profile cards without the need for third-party applications.
Artificial Intelligence Shield in Security
Samsung takes cyber security to the next level with One UI 9. The new artificial intelligence-supported security policy detects high-risk applications trying to install on the system in real time.
When a suspicious situation is detected, the system not only gives a warning, but also automatically blocks the installation and execution of the application and recommends deletion to the user. In addition, the new TalkBack package, developed jointly with Google, promises a much more intuitive use for disabled users by gathering accessibility features under a single roof.
