Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8 Series Prices Leaked

Leaked South Korean prices and sales calendar for Samsung’s new foldable phones Galaxy Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra are in our news.

Pricing details in the South Korean market for Samsung’s highly anticipated new generation foldable devices Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra models have been revealed. According to reports published by Bloter, Samsung is expected to introduce this new series at a special event to be held in London on July 22, 2026. This new information, which comes immediately after the leak of European prices, reveals Samsung’s strategic pricing approach for its new foldable phone series. According to the information obtained from South Korean mobile operators, the launch schedule of the devices and possible cost changes have begun to become clear.

  • The Galaxy Z Flip 8 model is expected to be available with a starting price of 1,683,000 KRW, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 with a starting price of 2,278,000 KRW, and the Ultra model with a starting price of 2,577,000 KRW.
  • It is anticipated that Samsung will start the pre-order process between July 28 and August 3, following the launch on July 22, 2026.
  • It is stated that increasing DRAM and NAND flash memory costs directly affect smartphone production costs.

Prices Set for South Korea Attract Attention

According to the leaked information, Galaxy Z Flip 8 will be on the shelves with prices starting from approximately $ 1,099, Galaxy Z Fold 8 with prices starting from approximately $ 1,499, and the top segment of the series, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, with prices starting from approximately $ 1,682. It is noteworthy that these numbers are obviously lower than the leaked prices for the European market. Department analysts state that this situation may be due to operator-based contract sales models.

New models will experience variable price policies due to the increase in memory costs compared to their predecessors.

Sales Calendar Begins to Become Official

Samsung plans to make a strong entry in the South Korean market. While pre-order users are expected to start receiving their devices on August 4, 2026, general sales are expected to start on August 7, 2026. This schedule supports Samsung’s rapid delivery strategy to maintain its competitive position in the global market.

The Increase in Component Costs is Reflected in Prices

The cost of memory components in the smartphone world has increased significantly in the last year. Memory components, which had a 14% share in the total cost of an $800 device in the first quarter of 2025, increased this share to 40% in the third quarter of 2026. This situation brings with it the obligation of manufacturers to pass on the increasing costs to the consumer. In light of these economic stabilities, it seems that Samsung is trying to balance the price differences between models.

These cost increases in the technology world may cause device prices to reshape in the coming period.

Do you think these prices set by Samsung for its new foldable phone series are competitive, considering the innovations it offers? Do you find it worth paying these prices for the alleged features that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra model will bring? Don’t forget to share your ideas with us below.
