While Oppo continues its preparations for the Reno 16 series, it has started the pre-booking process in China. However, a new leak shows that the company is working on a new model under the Reno series that aims to offer the foldable phone experience in a different form.

According to the information shared by Digital Chat Station, this device, called Reno X, is located at a point between traditional smartphones and foldable models. The device aims to imitate the screen experience offered by foldable phones without a hinge mechanism.

Oppo Reno X Specifications and Design

According to leaks, Reno X comes with a 6.39-inch flat screen and has a 16:10 aspect ratio. Unlike today’s long and narrow smartphone designs, this device stands out with its very large screen structure.

It is stated that the device will use a panel with a resolution of 21xx × 13xx and will be powered by a Dimensity 9 series chipset on the hardware side. The battery capacity is expected to be approximately 7,000mAh.

On the camera side, it is stated that there will be a triple setup including a 50 megapixel main sensor and a periscope telephoto lens. According to the shared design details, it is stated that the device measures 143mm x 91mm and these dimensions match the leaked prototype.

Release Date and Development Process

The Oppo Reno X model is not expected to be introduced together with the Reno 16 series. The leakster predicts that the device will be released alongside the Find X10 family, Oppo’s annual flagship series.

It is emphasized that at this stage, the final technical specifications of the device have not yet been finalized and there may be changes during the development process.
