European Prices of Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide and Ultra Announced

European Prices of Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide and Ultra Announced

Galaxy Z Fold 8 series prices leaked! While the new Wide model starts at 1,999 euros, there is an increase for the Z Fold 8 Ultra and Flip 8 models.

While South Korean technology giant Samsung continues its final preparations for the highly anticipated new foldable phone series Galaxy Z Fold 8, the retail price tags of the devices in the European market are already coming to light.

It shows that Samsung has followed a rather surprising and ironic path in its pricing strategy this year.

The larger-screen Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide) model, which the company added to its product range with a completely new design approach, remains at 1,999 euros, maintaining its starting price from last year; The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra model, which has undergone little change in design and offers only a minor hardware update, increases by 100 euros to 2,199 euros.

This picture, which emerged just a few days before the magnificent Unpacked event expected to be held on July 22, has a great impact in the technology world.

Striking Detail in Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Ultra Prices

Samsung has been single-handedly dominating the foldable smartphone market for a long time, and it is making a significant change in its strategy in 2026 to maintain its undisputed leadership.

The company is preparing to launch two different book format “Fold” devices at the same time for the first time in its history. The first of these is the “Wide” standard Galaxy Z Fold 8, which has been rumored for a long time and the company has started to give hints personally.

This new model allows the external screen to have a much more useful aspect ratio.

What surprises technology enthusiasts is that the price of this device, which offers an original hardware format, has not increased.

However, when we look at the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra model, which is at the top of the series, the situation changes completely.

While the Ultra model largely continues the case design of the previous generation Fold 7, it does not offer any radical innovation to users except for minor improvements.

According to leaks shared by WinFuture, these minor innovations cost consumers an extra 100 euros.

Analysts in the industry point to the fact that the Ultra model has a third rear camera and a relatively larger battery as the reason for this price increase. However, the fact that the Wide model, which offers a completely new experience, is cheaper than the almost identical Ultra model, draws an ironic picture in the smartphone market.

Price Difference Grows as Storage Space Increases

The leaked retail list reveals not only the increase in starting prices, but also the extra cost gap that those who want to increase the storage capacity of the device will face.

While in previous years, a difference of approximately 120 euros was paid for switching from 256 GB to 512 GB, this year’s information proves that this difference has jumped to the level of 200 euros.

Here are the leaked European prices of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series:

  • Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide) 256 GB: 1,999 Euros

  • Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide) 512 GB: 2,199 Euros

  • Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide) 1 TB: 2,599 Euros

  • Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 256 GB: 2,199 Euros

  • Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 512 GB: 2,399 Euros

  • Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra 1TB: 2,799 Euros

Galaxy Z Flip 8 and New Watches Also Have a Price Increase

Unfortunately, the upward momentum in price tags is not limited to the Fold Ultra model. Galaxy Z Flip 8, Samsung’s affordable clamshell foldable phone that appeals to a wider audience, also gets its share of this increasing wave.

According to leaked data, the basic version of the Galaxy Z Flip 8, which offers 256 GB of storage, reaches a starting price of 1,299 euros, an increase of 100 euros compared to the previous model.

The 512 GB version of the device is waiting for buyers at 1,499 euros. It is stated that increasing memory module costs globally play a direct role in these price increases.

A similar situation is experienced on the wearable technology side of the ecosystem. There is an average increase of around 10 percent in smart watch models compared to last year.

The 40 mm Bluetooth version of Galaxy Watch 9 is listed as 409 euros, and the LTE supported version is listed as 459 euros.

The 44 mm Bluetooth model, which has a larger case, carries a price tag of 439 euros, and the LTE version carries a price tag of 489 euros.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 LTE model, which is the highest level watch of the series that is resistant to harsh natural conditions, is expected to be on display with a very high price of 749 euros.

It is planned that Samsung will officially introduce this entire range of new products at the big Unpacked event, which is expected to be held in London, the capital of England, on July 22 and will eliminate all question marks about the devices.
