E-Commerce and Retail Giants Meet Under the Roof of ELC GLOBAL

E-Commerce and Retail Giants Meet Under the Roof of ELC GLOBAL

WORLDEF aims to add quality and vision to the sector by bringing together the decision makers of the e-commerce and retail industry under the ELC GLOBAL community.

Global e-commerce platform WORLDEF brings together the biggest players of the e-commerce and retail industry under a new community called “ELC GLOBAL”. This corporate ecosystem, introduced with a special launch at Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, aims to shape the future of digital commerce.

Bringing industry leaders, investors and decision makers together at the same table, the platform goes beyond being just a classical communication network and paves the way for strategic collaborations, e-export breakthroughs and the qualitative transformation of the sector.

Transition Period from Quantity to Quality

The volume of e-commerce around the world is increasing day by day, and almost one in every five commercial transactions now takes place over the internet. This rapid growth causes thousands of logistics, software and service provider companies to enter the ecosystem. As ELC GLOBAL Advisory Board Chairman and ToptanTR CEO Sezgin Şener stated at the launch, there is now a period in the industry where quantity is at its peak. According to Şener, from this point on, the winners are the teams that manage quality, not quantity.

At this point, the idea of bringing “qualified” decision makers together in an isolated environment in the increasingly crowded market arises. WORLDEF CEO Ömer Nart states that it is still very difficult to find a platform with reliable and open communication in today’s business world, and says that ELC GLOBAL meets this need. Nart: “Real power is being able to sit at the same table with the right people.” He summarizes the vision of the community with his words.

Strict Participation Conditions and Distinguishing Aspects from Its Competitors

Global networks such as YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization) or Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), which bring together leaders in the business world, or local structures such as TÜSİAD and TOBB e-Commerce Assembly have been operating for a long time. However, ELC GLOBAL promises to fill a very specific gap in this field by focusing directly on the digital retail and e-export vertical. It distinguishes it from other traditional chambers of commerce and associations by targeting not only the general business world, but also professionals who directly “make packages” and know the dynamics of digital sales.

There are also very strict financial criteria to join this community. To be included in the platform, companies must have a minimum annual e-commerce turnover of 5 million dollars, a general brand turnover of 25 million dollars or achieve an aggressive growth rate of 400 percent or more. This threshold ensures that everyone at the table has a certain level of experience and scale. System; It progresses through strategic roundtables, mastermind sessions and carefully designed matches.

Transition to E-Export and ECOM BRANDS 100 Vision

Ship to More Founder Aytaç Akıncı, one of the members of the community, believes that this structure will serve as a bridge for brands stuck in the domestic market to transition to e-export. Names such as Sürat Kargo General Manager Cem Oğuz and eStar Global E-Commerce General Manager Sadem Pehlivan also underline that the right network and information sharing directly affects the growth momentum of companies.

Another important announcement of the launch is the “ECOM BRANDS 100” award ceremony. This organization, which will determine the e-commerce giants in Turkey and the world with a methodological system, rewards the brands that shape the future of the sector. This project, introduced by WORLDEF Vice President Orxan Isayev, consists of transparent stages such as Power Index evaluation and public voting. The winners will be announced at the WORLDEF ISTANBUL 2026 event to be held at Yenikapı Event Area between 11-13 June 2026.

In this period when the e-commerce market is becoming increasingly competitive, we will see together what kind of change closed-loop communities where companies will act with common sense will create a change in the sector.
