Anthropic has announced a valuable update for Claude Code. This update brings a new infrastructure that allows different sessions to communicate directly with each other.

Users no longer have to describe the process when switching from one session to another. Claude can now share the status of a session with another at the request of developers.

The Era of Inter-Session Communication

The company states that this new system sends a basic summary instead of directly sharing past conversations or documents. This allows the other session to continue its mission seamlessly from where it left off.

The communication infrastructure operates on a completely two-way principle. Users can ask questions to another session from the session they are currently in and see the answer back on their screen.

The system also includes automatic notification features to facilitate workflow. If a change Claude makes affects the work being done in another session, it automatically sends a message to that session to inform them of the situation.

This update promises great convenience, especially for users working on complex projects and managing multiple sessions simultaneously. This feature, which eliminates the need for manual information transfer, aims to reduce time loss in the development process.
