Caviar introduced a special iPhone Geiger model that can measure radiation with its built-in Geiger-Müller counter and Swiss-calibrated clock.
Known for its luxury smartphone modifications, Caviar has added another extraordinary design to its collection. Introduced under the company’s “Grand Complications” collection, the Geiger model stands out with its functional Geiger-Müller counter and Swiss-system analog-digital clock integrated into the iPhone body. Capable of monitoring ambient gamma radiation levels in real time, the device is positioned as both a luxury accessory and a working radiation measuring tool.
Dosimeter Working on the Rear Panel: SIG-RM1208
At the heart of this specially designed iPhone 17 Pro Max-based model is the SIG-RM1208 dosimeter clock located in the center of the rear cover. The device is not merely a visual design element; Thanks to its Geiger-Müller tube, it precisely measures ambient gamma radiation levels. The obtained micro-sievert (µSv/h) values are displayed on the digital screen of the watch dial, and the system alerts the user audibly and visually when the set safety threshold is exceeded.
On the time measurement side of the dosimeter, a Swiss-made Ronda 763 quartz mechanism is used. Thanks to this, the device functions as an analog clock and a precise measurement station, independent of the smartphone’s own clock.
Industrial Design and Protective Details
The model’s outer casing reflects the aesthetics of professional radiation monitoring devices and industrial laboratory equipment. The prominent design details on the body are listed as follows:
