Brembo announced the high-performance MTB braking system GR-PRO. Priced at 750 euros, the system offers CNC machining technology and customizable braking feel.
Brembo, a worldwide authority on brake systems, officially announced the high-performance GR-PRO brake system developed specifically for mountain bike (MTB) enthusiasts. This new system, which has gone through intensive testing processes for a long time and is fed by the technologies of professional racing departments, targets drivers looking for superior stopping power, especially at high speeds and in difficult terrain conditions. The set, which entered the market with an ambitious starting price of 750 euros, draws attention with the technological infrastructure it offers, although it does not contain a disc. With this new product, Brembo aims to redefine the standards in the premium brake system segment in the cycling world.

Production Technology Offers High Durability
At the heart of the GR-PRO system lies Brembo’s manufacturing expertise. Brake calipers and master cylinders are produced by meticulously machining single-piece aluminum blocks on CNC machines, unlike traditional casting methods. This production process provides a serious advantage in heat management while preserving the structural integrity of the parts. The calipers, which offer aesthetic integrity with their iconic red color, contain four pistons with a diameter of 18 mm. These pistons work synchronously with the system’s own mineral oil, providing stable performance even during the hardest braking moments.
Drivers are Provided with the Opportunity for Personalization
One of the most striking features of the system is the special adjustment mechanism on the brake lever. This infrastructure allows drivers to optimize the braking process and the feeling of pressure applied to the pedal according to their own preferences. GR-PRO offers a structure compatible with stainless steel rotors of 2.3 mm thickness and 200 mm or 220 mm options. Brembo also offers users its own specially ventilated discs to prevent temperature changes from affecting braking performance.
Whatever the temperature, the braking point is maintained with unwavering consistency.
Racing Technologies Are Integrated into the MTB World
Brembo officials state that the development of the GR-PRO system was based on data received from the company’s automobile and motorcycle racing departments. Shifting of the braking point due to heating in difficult mountain conditions is considered one of the biggest safety risks for drivers. GR-PRO minimizes this risk thanks to its thermal stability technology and promises its users a safe driving experience. This new product represents the ultimate in breaking technologies in the cycling world.
