Features of the design language and criticisms
Liquid Glass, introduced at the WWDC 2025 event, brings glass-like optical properties such as reflection, refraction and dynamic fluidity to Apple’s software interface. This new translucent material combines the design languages of the iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, watchOS 26 and tvOS 26 platforms, while allowing each operating system to maintain its unique character.

However, the new design language has brought about some discussions among Mac, iPhone and iPad users. Liquid Glass, which has been subject to various criticisms from users especially due to readability problems, is expected to appear in a more improved version with iOS 27.
We look forward to seeing how Apple’s award-winning design language will evolve with future updates. What do you think of Apple’s new Liquid Glass design language?
