While previously a higher price was required for this feature, Apple has reduced the cost to the user by $50 by bringing this technology to the entry-level model. The company states that thanks to new algorithms and acoustic architecture, noise cancellation performance has been improved by 50 percent compared to the previous generation. Another innovation that enhances the sound experience is the improved transparency mode. AirPods 5 deliver ambient sounds and human voices to users in a much more natural way. These hardware updates allow the sound to be dynamically adjusted according to different ear structures.

Apple launched the AirPods 5 series in two different configurations. The base model, priced at $129, offers active noise cancellation as standard. The $149 model comes with a wireless charging case and additional features. The wireless charging case supports both Qi chargers and Apple Watch charging discs and features an integrated speaker for the Find My app.

The top-of-the-line $149 model also offers an advantage in battery life. While the base model provides 4 hours of listening time, the higher-end model offers an extra hour of use on a single charge. Additionally, this model includes the

volume swipe gesture feature known from the AirPods Pro series. This feature allows users to easily control the volume from the earbud stem without needing their phones.
