Amazon launched its new feature that creates images of imaginary works with artificial intelligence based on the words typed in the search bar.
Amazon has introduced a new artificial intelligence feature that will change the search experience in the shopping application. As users enter terms into the search bar, the system creates images of imaginary works that match these descriptions.
This feature, which is active today with its prestige, comes into play especially in the clothing and household goods categories. Amazon states that these images aim to help users find their dream work.
How does AI-assisted search work?
As users type descriptive words such as color, texture or pattern into the search bar, images created by artificial intelligence begin to appear in the offer section. These images change and update instantly with every new word the user writes.
Amazon states that this system will be useful in cases where users do not know technical terms. For example, a user who cannot remember the term “cowl neck” can access similar images by simply searching for the description of draped neck.

Users can choose the one that best suits them from these artificial intelligence-generated images that appear in the search results. Based on the selected image, the system tries to visually list real works.

The company announced that this feature was initially offered only in certain categories and that its scope would be expanded over time. In addition to this technology, Amazon is also rolling out other updates to improve the search experience.
Other new AI features
Other innovations added to the Amazon application include shopping collages created by artificial intelligence. This feature allows users to see works that suit their formats together.

Additionally, the ability to add text to visual searches and a “show more similar” shortcut that makes it easier to find similar works are also included in the application. Amazon Lens Live feature can answer questions by interacting with real-world objects.
While a shortcut for Lens has been added to the home screen, the “circle to search” feature is also coming to the platform. These updates stand out as part of Amazon’s strategy to make the shopping process more visual and interactive.
Do you think Amazon’s creation of images of non-existent works in search results makes the shopping experience easier or confusing?
