Affordable Nothing Phone (4b) Spotted on Geekbench

Affordable Nothing Phone (4b) Spotted on Geekbench

Nothing Phone (4b) appeared in Geekbench tests with its Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, single rear camera and Android 16 operating system.

Nothing is preparing to bring a brand new breath to the affordable smartphone market.

The company canceled the new CMF series planned for 2026 due to increasing component costs and is turning its route to the (b) series under its main brand.

Nothing Phone (4b), which will be officially introduced on July 7, 2026, reveals all its power in Geekbench performance tests before its release.

This model, which comes with interesting structural decisions such as the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, 8 GB RAM capacity and a single rear camera, offers technology enthusiasts the opportunity to join the Nothing ecosystem at a much more affordable price.

Cancellation of the CMF Series and Birth of the b Series

There have been some very active days on the Nothing front in the past months.

The statements made by Akis Evangelidis, one of the founding partners of the company, clearly summarize why the brand has created a new (b) series.

According to Evangelidis, rapidly increasing RAM and storage unit costs in the global market made it impossible for the planned CMF Phone 3 Pro model to remain in the affordable price range.

The company had to either raise the price or compromise on the quality of the equipment.

Thereupon, the Nothing administration, which drew a completely new road map, stopped the CMF project and transferred these resources to the Phone (4b) model.

The brand’s naming strategy is also shaped in this direction; While numbers indicate the generation, letters determine the segment the device addresses.

Thus, the (b) series manages to reach a wider user base by positioning itself one step below the popular (a) series.

Geekbench Performance Test and Hardware Details

The results appearing in the Geekbench database shortly before the launch date leave no doubt about the technical infrastructure of the device.

Powered by the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset codenamed SM6650, the phone takes the mid-segment standards one step higher.

According to the test results, this eight-core processor; It contains one main performance core running at 2.30 GHz, three auxiliary performance cores at 2.21 GHz and four power efficiency cores at 1.80 GHz.

The device, whose graphics processes are handled by the Adreno 810 GPU unit, comes out of the box with the Android 16 operating system with 8 GB RAM support.

Nothing Phone (4b) scores 1,088 points in the single-core test and 3,155 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench 6, while it scores 2,896 points in the OpenCL GPU test.

This hardware, which comes off the tape with TSMC’s 4nm production technology, promises long battery life and a fluent interface experience.

Radical Decision in Design: Single Rear Camera

Brief promotional images and design sketches shared by Nothing on its social media accounts reveal a rather surprising detail in the camera module of the device.

Nothing Phone (4b) hosts only a single camera sensor on its back panel.

Nowadays, even entry-level phones use non-functional extra lenses under the name of depth or macro just for the sake of marketing strategy, while Nothing’s focus on only a single high-quality lens is interpreted as a brave attack in the department.

This simplification reduces the production costs of the device and allows the brand’s iconic transparent design language to take on a much more minimalist and aesthetic form.

Launch Date and Price Expectations

Nothing Phone (4b), which the technology world has been eagerly awaiting, becomes official with the launch on July 7, 2026.

In fact, India’s giant e-commerce platform Flipkart has already launched a special promotional page for the device. It is claimed that this new device, which will be placed under the Phone (4a) model in the brand’s product hierarchy, will debut in the Indian market with a pricing below 25,000 Rupees (approximately $300).

All hardware details and global pricing are expected to become clearer with the launch event.
