Acer Announces Three-Screen Portable Monitor Solution

Acer Announces Three-Screen Portable Monitor Solution

Acer has introduced the PD163Q-P3, a three-screen portable monitor model. The features and price of this 15.6-inch device are in our news.

Acer has announced its new three-screen portable monitor model, developed with the goal of expanding the workspace of laptop users. Named the PD163Q-P3, this device combines portability and a multi-screen experience.

The device features three 15.6-inch IPS panels. Each panel offers users a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate.

Technical Specifications and Design

The most striking aspect of the monitor is that all three screens are foldable. This feature allows the device to become compact when not in use.

Users can easily place this monitor in a laptop bag or backpack. Portability is the core of the device’s design philosophy.

The panels have a GtG response time of approximately 8 ms. In terms of connectivity options, the device features two USB Type-C ports.

The device requires an external 45-watt power supply to operate. This indicates that the device is dependent on external power management.

Screen Performance and Usage

The use of IPS technology on all screens offers wide viewing angles. However, the device has some limitations in terms of color accuracy.

The monitor covers only 45% of the NTSC color gamut. This value corresponds to approximately 60-64% sRGB coverage.

Therefore, the device may not be an ideal option for professional photography or image editing where color accuracy is critical. The maximum brightness of the screens is set at 250 nits.

This brightness level may provide a sufficient experience indoors. However, this price may be insufficient for users who want to use the device outdoors.

Sales Information

Acer plans to release its new portable monitor, the PD163Q-P3, in the first quarter of 2027. The sales price for the European market has been announced as 349 euros.

This monitor targets a large workspace, especially for users who work with multiple applications or browser windows simultaneously. The multi-screen setup offers a valuable alternative for those who want to increase productivity.

Three external screens added next to the laptop screen bring the comfort of a desktop computer to a portable size. Users can thus obtain a larger digital workspace.

So, do you think this three-screen portable monitor design is enough to facilitate your daily workflow?
