Samsung has added a new one to its display solutions developed for movie theaters. The company announced its new 14-meter-wide Onyx Cinema LED screen at the CinemaCon 2026 event in Las Vegas.

This new model is the largest Cinema LED screen Samsung has ever produced. This huge screen, specially designed for premium cinema environments, aims to offer viewers a more impressive visual experience.

Operational ease and high performance

Samsung’s Onyx Cinema LED technology significantly reduces operational complexity compared to traditional cinema projectors. These LED-based systems eliminate the need for constant maintenance required by traditional equipment such as lamps or cooling systems.

The fact that the system has a more reliable structure provides a great advantage for cinema operators. The ability to easily service individual components in the event of failure reduces downtime, allowing staff to focus more on guest services.

The use of LED technology in movie theaters is increasingly preferred around the world. Samsung had previously released Onyx Cinema LED models in 5 meter and 10 meter sizes for small and medium-sized businesses.

The newly introduced 14-meter standard size stands out as a solution developed especially for large halls. The screen manages to maintain high image quality and sharpness thanks to its 3mm pixel pitch.

Scalable design and expansion possibility

Samsung also includes flexible scaling technology in this new model. Operators can expand the screen size up to 20 meters without compromising image quality.

Leading cinema chains such as Star Cinema Grill in the USA had started using Samsung Onyx technology since 2019. With the launch of the new 14-meter model, this technology is expected to spread to a wider area of ​​use.
