World-famous pop star Dua Lipa has filed a lawsuit against electronics giant Samsung for $15 million. The artist accuses the company of making commercial profits by using his face on television boxes without permission.

According to the case file, the photo used by Samsung on its television packaging was taken at the Austin City Limits Festival in 2024. Dua Lipa states that the copyright of the photo in question belongs to her and that unauthorized use damages the brand value.

Lipa states that she noticed the situation around June 2025 and repeatedly requested that Samsung remove the image. However, the artist’s lawyers argue that Samsung is insensitive to these demands and the products are still on sale.

Lipa’s legal team argues that Samsung’s behavior disregards the artist’s efforts to create her own brand. It is stated that the commercial profit the company obtains in this way violates the artist’s right to control his assets and earn income from them.
