Palit is again launching the well-known GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB graphics card. Here are the technical details of the budget-friendly card and its position in the market.
Hardware manufacturers continue to bring old generation NVIDIA graphics processors back to the shelves in order to meet the demands in the market. As the latest example of this trend, Palit introduced the GeForce RTX 3060 Infinity 2 OC 12 GB model to users again.
NVIDIA’s strategy to return the RTX 3060 series, based on the Ampere architecture, to the market is supported by attacks from different manufacturers. Following a similar step previously taken by Colorful, Palit also included this well-known graphics card in its product catalogue.
RTX 3060 as the Market’s Choice
With a five-year history, RTX 3060 12 GB is considered one of the most successful models of the Ampere series. Users still prefer this card to avoid compromising on VRAM capacity when looking for a budget-friendly option.
According to Steam Hardware Survey information, RTX 3060 maintains its title as the most popular desktop graphics card with a market share of approximately 4%. In contrast, the market share of newer generation cards such as the RTX 5060 is now below 3%.
Palit states that the newly introduced RTX 3060 Infinity 2 OC model offers a smooth and stable gaming experience at 1080p resolution. The 12 GB VRAM capacity of the card stands out as a valuable advantage to meet the needs of modern games.
Balance of Technology and Performance
RTX 5060, which is sold for around $ 350 in the market, offers sufficient performance for many games despite its 8 GB VRAM capacity. However, the RTX 3060 12 GB, which can be found for under $ 300, still represents a valid alternative for budget-oriented gamers.

While new generation graphics cards support current technologies such as FG and MFG offered by NVIDIA, RTX 3060 is deprived of these features. This raises the question of whether users will give up modern technologies for just 4 GB more memory.
This 12 GB memory capacity offered by the RTX 3060 continues to be preferred, especially in games that require high texture quality. What do you think about this stability of choice between the old and new generation among current hardware options?
