Samsung has started to release the One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update, which includes bug fixes and camera improvements, for its mid-segment phone Galaxy A54.
In the smartphone world, software support as well as hardware is among the main factors that determine users’ preferences. Acting with this awareness, South Korean technology giant Samsung continues the testing process for One UI 8.5, the new version of its popular interface, without slowing down.
The company, which recently introduced the One UI 8.5 Beta 2 version for the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A35 models, is now including the popular mid-segment model Galaxy A54 in this extended test program.
Bug Fixes and System Improvements in Focus
The One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update, which comes with the build number “A546EXXUJZZD9” for Galaxy A54 users, is downloaded to the devices as a file of approximately 500 MB in size. Rather than adding radical visual innovations to the system, this new test version focuses on fixing bugs reported by users in the previous beta version and making the overall usage experience smoother.
When we look at the official change log shared by Samsung, we see that with the update, the connection problem that caused automatic scanning to not work when entering the Bluetooth settings has been eliminated.
While stabilization improvements are made for a more stable shooting experience on the camera side, momentary interruptions when using the brightness and volume adjustment bars in the control center (quick panel) are also resolved. Additionally, an infrastructure adjustment is being made to ensure that the Direct Voicemail feature always uses the Samsung TTS (Text to Voice) engine by default.
Software Competition Is Intensifying in the Middle Segment
Competition in the smartphone market is no longer just about camera resolutions or processor speeds. At a time when Chinese Competitors Xiaomi is offering fluent experiences in the middle segment with its HyperOS and Oppo’s ColorOS interface, Samsung’s moves are also of great importance. The fact that the company has brought the beta programs it offers to its flagship devices to more accessible models such as the Galaxy A series in a very short time increases the reliability of the brand on the software side.
This second beta update, which is currently being distributed to users registered in the test program in the Indian market, is expected to reach other users globally soon after the bugs are cleared. If you have previously participated in the One UI 8.5 Beta program with your device, your phone Settings > Software updateYou can manually check whether the new version has reached your device by going to the menu.
