In the Middle Ages, there was the Kingdom of Bosnia

In the 15th century, it came under the rule of the Ottoman Empire

Later, it was under Austro-Hungarian rule

During the dissolution of Yugoslavia (1992–1995), the Bosnian War took place

The war ended with the Dayton Agreement of 1995

It has a population of approximately 3.2 million. Three main ethnic groups:

Bosniaks (mostly Muslim)

Serbs (mostly Orthodox)

Croats (mostly Catholic)

Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina
