Galaxy Z Fold 8 Comes with Snapdragon Processor

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 confirmed Snapdragon processor and satellite theme support with FCC certification. Here are the technical details of the new foldable phone.

Samsung’s highly anticipated new generation foldable phone, Galaxy Z Fold 8, has successfully completed the FCC certification process and revealed its technical details. It is now certain that the device, which is planned to be officially introduced next month, will have a Snapdragon processor signed by Qualcomm. While this new smartphone, registered with the model number SM-F971U, attracted attention with its hardware features, it also confirmed the expectations that it would use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. The new model aims to take the user experience to the next level with its expanded cover screen and advanced interaction technologies.

  • Galaxy Z Fold 8 was spotted with the Snapdragon processor during the FCC certification process.
  • The device offers emergency messaging and call reinforcement via satellite.
  • The new model is equipped with Wi-Fi 7, UWB and comprehensive GNSS technologies.

FCC Certificate Reveals Technical Details

Documents published by the Federal Liaison Committee (FCC) prove that the device codenamed SM-F971U supports modern interconnection standards. The foldable phone uses Qualcomm’s modem technologies to demonstrate high performance in 2G, 3G, 4G LTE and both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G networks. Additionally, it is stated that the device will offer optimized signal management with Qualcomm Smart Transmit technology.

Satellite connection support provides uninterrupted connection in emergency situations.

Other technical details highlighted in the certification document include Wi-Fi 7, NFC, UWB and DisplayPort contact support. Wireless charging and anti-wireless charging features that provide ease of daily use are also included in the hardware package of the device. In position services, full compatibility is ensured with global navigation satellite systems such as Galileo, GLONASS, GPS and QZSS.

Market Strategy Shows Regional Differences

Samsung’s new foldable device strategy is shaped by regional preferences in processor selection. While the Galaxy Z Fold 8 model meets users globally with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset, a different strategy is followed in the Galaxy Z Flip 8 series. The information that the Exynos 2600 processor will be preferred in some European countries and the South Korean market reflects the company’s search for market-based competitive pricing and performance stability.

Samsung focuses on the power of Snapdragon in foldable screen technology.

Galaxy Z Fold 8, which is expected to have a larger cover screen compared to previous generations, seems to be designed to appeal to both business and entertainment-oriented users. These hardware updates will significantly increase the multitasking capabilities and overall processing speed of the phone. The eyes of the technology world will be on the launch event to be held next month.
