According to the new bill, the main interlocutor of the gaming industry in critical processes such as cyber security, information flow and digital security is no longer the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK).
These powers and responsibilities are transferred to the newly established Cyber Security Presidency within the Presidency.
Cyber Security Architecture Gathers Under One Roof
The new omnibus bill submitted to the Turkish Grand National Assembly means an important structural transformation for Türkiye’s digital ecosystem.
The basis of this regulation lies in the aim of managing the country’s cyber security architecture from a single center.
The cyber security infrastructure and teams specialized in this field, which have been operating under the umbrella of BTK to date, are being systematically moved to the new Cyber Security Directorate under the Presidency.
With this breakthrough, it is planned to carry out digital security processes in a more centralized, faster and organized manner.

With the new regulation becoming law, gaming companies operating in Turkey must harmonize their existing infrastructure and information process policies with the standards to be determined by the new presidency.
