Logos of Google Applications Are Completely Changing with 13 New Designs

The logos of Google Workspace applications are changing! New designs gradient and all the details of 13 applications, including Gmail, Drive and Calendar, are in our news.

Google decided to renew the visual identity of applications in the Workspace ecosystem, which has millions of users around the world. As part of the design update it has launched as of late 2025, the US-based technology giant is giving the logos of a total of 13 applications, including popular tools such as Gmail, Calendar and Drive, a gradient appearance.

According to information leaked by 9to5Google, the company aims to offer a more modern and lively user experience with these new designs. This move, which reinforces Google’s dominance in digital platforms, aims to provide visual integrity and aesthetic innovation in all Workspace tools.

  • Google is updating the logos of about 13 different Workspace apps with gradient designs.
  • Within the framework of the new design approach, the round frames around the applications are completely removed.
  • Radical color and form changes are being applied to the icons of applications such as Google Meet and Google Calendar.

Significant Changes Are Being Made in Design Details

Google has launched a major design move to bring the user interfaces and symbols of its digital tools in line with current trends.

According to leaked information, the services included in the Google Workspace package will now be represented by new icons with darker and transitional color tones. This transformation process, which the company has previously initiated, is being expanded to cover all main applications as of the last quarter of 2025.

When the new logos are examined, it is seen that Google has given up the round icon structure with solid color and white background that it previously used. Form changes are particularly noticeable in office tools such as Documents, Spreadsheets and Slides.

While the Docs icon maintains its vertical form, Sheets and Slides switch to a horizontal view, taking on an aesthetic that better reflects their functions. In addition, the letter “M” in the Gmail icon is modernized with more rounded lines.

With its new designs, Google aims to provide visual integrity across the entire application ecosystem.

Some Apps Return to Classic Look

A remarkable wind of nostalgia blows in the Google Calendar application. The four-color outer box design is abandoned, returning to a structure similar to the classic blue-dominated icon of the application from the past years.

On the Google Meet side, the dominance of yellow color stands out as one of the biggest changes that surprises users. Google Chat, on the other hand, is preparing to appear before users with a new message bubble icon in pill form with a smile emoticon inside.

This radical change in application icons is considered as part of Google’s strategy to position its brand in a more modern and dynamic structure.

Although some users are accustomed to the old designs, it is expected that the new gradient designs will look more stylish on high-resolution screens. Leaked images confirm that all Workspace apps will soon fully switch to this new theme.
