Tesla is working on Android live charging tracking feature! The charging status can be monitored instantly with the new lock screen notification.
For electric vehicle owners, keeping track of the charging process is one of the most valuable modules of the daily routine. While you leave your car at the station and sip your coffee, it can be annoying at times to always open and close the phone application to see how charged the battery is. Tesla, which early integrated the “Live Events” feature offered by Apple in the iOS ecosystem into its application, is now taking a big step that will delight Android users by taking advantage of a similar infrastructure brought by the Android operating system. Emerging new details show that the company is preparing a comprehensive lock screen integration into Android’s modern notification system.
How Will Tesla Android Live Charging Tracking Feature Work?
According to new details discovered in the source codes of the application, Tesla Android live charge trackingThanks to the feature, users will now be able to monitor the status of their vehicles without even unlocking their phones. This system, which will use the “Live Updates” infrastructure that came into our lives with Android 16, will create a dynamic notification area that is always active on the lock screen and status bar.
Thanks to this new generation notification window, unlike traditional fixed notifications, information will be updated instantly in the background. While your vehicle is charging, you will be able to follow the current battery percentage, remaining estimated time and current range status from a single panel, with just a glance at your phone. Moreover, the new filling price at Supercharger stations will be instantly reflected on your invoice through this panel.
After iPhone Owners, It’s Android Users’ Turn
In fact, Tesla is not completely unfamiliar with this comfort. The company offered the “Live Activities” support to iPhone users with the v4.45.0 update it released for the iOS application last year. In this way, iOS users have been able to follow the charging processes live for a long time via Dynamic Island and the lock screen. This feature, which Android users have been deprived of for a long time, became official with the command lines captured repeatedly in the v4.58.0 version codes of the application.

Once the feature is activated, the Tesla experience will become much more fluid and effortless on smartphones with Android operating system.
