Huawei Mate XT 2 leaks indicate that it will arrive in October with the Kirin 9050 Pro processor, 6000 mAh battery and improved hinge technology.
Huawei started working on the new generation Huawei Mate XT 2 model in order to reinforce its leadership in the tri-foldable phone market. According to the latest leaks from Chinese sources, this new device, which will replace its predecessor released in 2024, is expected to become official in October.
The new model aims to take the foldable phone experience to the next level with its improved hinge structure, more powerful processor and growing battery capacity. This move by Huawei proves once again that the brand continues its claim on innovation and offers significant improvements in user expectations.
Hardware and Performance Data Improves Significantly
Huawei Mate XT 2 is preparing to make a serious leap on the hardware side. According to leaks, the device will be powered by the completely new Kirin 9050 Pro chipset.
This new processor architecture promises to offer the user a smoother experience in multitasking management and energy efficiency. The high processing power requirement brought by foldable screen technology is met more stably with this new generation processor.
Thanks to the new hinge technology, the folding mark on the screen disappears almost completely.
In addition, the 6000 mAh capacity battery stands out as a very critical update to meet the energy needs of a three-screen device.
This increase compared to the 5600 mAh battery in its predecessor makes the device more durable even under intense use throughout the day. Fast charging and wireless charging support is also expected to be offered at the highest segment standards.
Camera and Design Details Meet User Expectations
On the camera side, Huawei does not compromise on flagship quality. The new model is expected to inherit the advanced lens technologies we saw in the Mate X7 series.
Accordingly, the device may include a combination of 50 MP main camera, 40 MP ultra wide-angle lens and 50 MP telephoto macro lens with 3.5x optical zoom. This hardware makes it possible to deliver a professional-level photography experience on a foldable device.
Mate XT 2 comes with a capacity of 6000 mAh, leaving behind its predecessor’s 5600 mAh battery.
Its predecessor, the first generation Mate XT, made a big impact in the technology world with its weight of 298 grams and its thickness of 12.8 mm when folded. It is anticipated that the new model will take the screen quality and brightness one step further while maintaining this compact structure.
Leaks show that the launch date of the device is planned for October, unlike the previous model. This is interpreted as Huawei spending more time on software and hardware optimization.
