Galaxy Z Fold 8 Series and Wide Model Leaked for the First Time

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Series and Wide Model Leaked for the First Time

The first mock-up images of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Wide and Galaxy Z Flip 8 models have been leaked. The new widescreen design and technical details are in our news.

Samsung’s highly anticipated new generation foldable smartphone series made a big impact in the technology world with model images leaked to the internet. New images shared on social media by reliable leaker Sonny Dickson revealed the design details of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the newly added Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide models.

The devices, which are expected to be officially introduced later this year, represent Samsung’s new vision in foldable screen technology. While the new model, which comes with the “Wide” tag, clearly reveals the change in the screen ratios of the series, the leaked prototypes offer important clues about the general form factor and ergonomics of the devices.

  • Samsung’s new foldable series will consist of Galaxy Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Wide and Flip 8 models.
  • The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide model will have a larger screen structure compared to the standard Fold model.
  • There are circular signs on the back panel of the devices indicating magnetic wireless charging support.

Samsung is preparing to expand its product range in order to reinforce its leadership in the foldable phone market.

The “Wide” variant, added to the traditional Fold and Flip models, aims to meet users’ expectations regarding screen size and aspect ratio. Leaked mock-up units show the physical dimensions and camera arrays of the devices in detail.

The fact that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide model comes with a 4: 3 screen ratio can set a new standard in the foldable phone market.

New Wide Model Offers a Different Screen Experience

The most striking detail in the leaked images is the unusual structure of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide model. This device, which has a shorter and wider body than the standard Fold model, promises the user a larger working area.

Allegedly, the internal screen of this model will have a 4:3 aspect ratio to compete with the foldable devices that Apple is said to be working on. This design change could offer a more optimized experience, especially for multitasking management and media consumption.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 models maintain a modern and refined design language in line with previous leaks. The circular signs seen on the back panel of all three devices may be the harbinger of magnetic wireless charging technology in Qi2 standards. However, these markings are expected to be hidden inside the body and not visible from the outside in mass production models. With this move, Samsung aims to expand its accessory ecosystem.

Samsung plans to fully support the magnetic charging ecosystem in its new generation devices.

Improvements in the layout of camera modules and hinge structure can also be read from the prototypes. Samsung’s efforts to completely eliminate the hinge gap and minimize the screen folding mark seem to bear fruit in these new models. In addition, the thin frame of the devices aims to take modern smartphone aesthetics to the next level.
